Bass Elementary School had 114 dads, uncles, grandparents, aunts, and moms come out to the school for its first annual Bring Your Dad to School Day.
After eating breakfast in the cafeteria, parents visited their children's classrooms to get a glimpse of what their child experiences each morning at school. Parents then returned to the cafeteria for an awesome talk by Bass librarian Mr. Babcock and music teacher Mr. Davis about the importance of dads being involved in their child’s lives, including their child’s education.
Many dads expressed how much it mean for their children just to have them at their school. They said they enjoyed seeing the morning routines in the classrooms and how much their child’s teacher really cares and knows each student so well.
McDonalds, Bob Evans, Golden Corral, Kissed Cupcakes, Biscuitville and Rosetta Coffee Company donated breakfast food for the guests.
