E. C. Glass High School will have a state championship banner dedication on Friday, December 4 at 6:30 p.m. in McCue gym. E. C. Glass (formerly called Lynchburg High) has been in operation since 1871 and has a long-standing tradition of excellence in both academics and athletics. The school’s first state champion was the 1912 football team, and the most recent state champion is the 2015 boys tennis team. The banner dedication will recognize these and the 35 other state championship banners. Members of the teams and other loyal Hilltoppers have made the purchase of these banners possible, and those donors will be recognized as well. All former/current Hilltoppers are invited to attend.
Update: Please note, even though there are no basketball games, the Banner Ceremony is still on!
