Dozens of Families Come Out for Bass Reading Afternoon

More than 40 families came out to Bass Elementary School’s Dad and Kid Reading Afternoon in September. Dads (and some moms, grandparents, aunts and uncles, too)  and kids had a lot of fun actively reading books like Head to Toe by Eric Carle, Octopus Hug by Laurence Pringle and Guess How Much I Love You by Sam McBratney. Our local bank and partner in education, Bank of the James, also donated 100 one dollar bills for families to have a dollar bill word hunt. ​
