A free and public forum entitled “I Was a High School Arts Kid and Look Where I am Today!” will be held on Saturday, February 20, from 11 a.m.-12 p.m. in the Marie Waller Lecture Hall at E. C. Glass High School. Presented by E. C. Glass Theatre, this special event is designed for students, parents, teachers, and the community to discuss the benefits of arts education to all students.
Members of the panel include nine graduates of E. C. Glass who were involved in drama activities while in high school and have gone on to a variety of successful careers, in and out of the arts. Representing each decade from the 1960s to the present and with widely diverse professional careers, members of the panel will discuss how their involvement in the arts during their high school days helped prepare them for their current careers.
After the forum, tours of E. C. Glass High School and the recently renovated Drama Department will be offered.
The forum and tours are being held as part of Glass Theatre’s first All-Alumni Reunion Weekend celebrating 100 years of drama activities and the 30th Anniversary of E.C. Glass Theatre.
