KINDERGARTEN PARENTS: IMPORTANT LETTER FROM OUR SCHOOL NURSE
Hello Kindergarten Parents!
Welcome to in person learning at Bedford Hills! I wanted to take a moment to introduce myself and inform you of a couple things. First I want you to know that I love my job and enjoy taking care of the students at Bedford Hills.
Here are a couple things I’d like to ask of you:
- Please keep a spare set of clothes for your child (including underwear and socks) in a ziplock bag in your child’s backpack. Accidents happen and clothes become soiled. Having a spare set of clothes helps us return your child back to their class as quickly as possible.
- Should your child need medication during school hours, please contact me before bringing it to the school (515-5211). Medications should not be sent to school with your child.
- LCS requires a signed physicians authorization for any medications that your child may need to take at school.
- In the event that your child becomes ill at school, I will contact you by the phone number on file. If your number changes during the school year, please make sure it is updated in our records.
- I will contact you if your child has a fever (a temperature greater than 100°), is vomiting or has diarrhea. Should any of these symptoms occur, you will be asked to pick your child up from school.
- If your child has a chronic medical condition such as food allergies, asthma, diabetes or seizures, PLEASE contact me as soon as possible (515-5211).
I look forward to working with you to help your kids stay healthy.
-Michelle Ravizza, LPN
