You are invited to apply to a variety of LCS programs for the 2024-25 school year! Applications must be submitted by Feb. 29, 2024. Applications are accepted for students outside of these schools’ attendance zones. Students currently zoned for these schools do not need to apply.
Schools for Innovation
Schools for Innovation provide rising K-8 students with innovative and challenging instructional experiences. For elementary students interested in exploring STEM, leadership, and Spanish language learning, Dearington Elementary School has 35 spots available. T. C. Miller Elementary School, accepting 39 applicants, has an enhanced performing and visual arts program.
At the secondary level, students at Paul Laurence Dunbar Middle School can learn about broadcast communication, drama, herpetology, and marine science. 70 spots are available, and for the first time, rising seventh and eighth graders will be accepted.
Year-Round School at Bass Elementary
William Marvin Bass Elementary offers a year-round schedule for its students, creating a nurturing academic environment where all children are encouraged to succeed. In addition to most of the breaks offered at the other LCS elementary schools, there are four week-long intersessions that offer reading, writing, math, and enrichment services to a portion of the students.
